VAOS is a professional SaaS platform designed to support maritime audit workflows, vessel preparation, inspection documentation, observations management and reporting.

2. Scope of This Legal Center

This Legal Center applies to:

• the VAOS web application available at https://app.vaos.es;
• any related VAOS product pages, documentation, onboarding flows, trial access, subscription flows and support interactions;
• business users, maritime auditors, superintendents, vetting teams and customer organisations using VAOS for professional purposes.

VAOS is intended for business and professional use only. It is not intended for consumer or household use.

The following documents govern the use of VAOS:

If there is a conflict between this Legal Center and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service will prevail for contractual matters.

4. Nature of the Service

VAOS provides software tools for maritime audit management, including planning, vessel preparation, audit execution, observations management, reporting workflows and related operational support features.

VAOS is a software tool. It does not replace the professional judgement of auditors, inspectors, vessel operators, superintendents, classification societies, flag administrations or other competent authorities.

Users remain responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness and applicability of all audit data, vessel data, observations, reports, regulatory references and supporting evidence before relying on them.

5. Intellectual Property

The VAOS website, application, software, interface, design, workflows, databases, documentation, text, graphics, logos and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, all intellectual property rights in VAOS are owned by DEEP BRIDGE MARITIME CONSULTING or its licensors.

Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works from VAOS, except as expressly permitted by the Terms of Service or applicable law.

6. Third-Party Names, Standards and References

VAOS may refer to maritime industry standards, inspection regimes, organisations, frameworks or terminology such as SIRE, CDI, RISQ, PSC, OCIMF, RightShip, classification societies, flag administrations, port authorities or other third-party materials.

Such references are used only for descriptive, interoperability, workflow or professional context purposes.

VAOS is an independent software platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially connected with OCIMF, CDI, RightShip or any other third-party standards body, unless expressly stated otherwise.

All third-party trademarks, names, standards and references remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Prices, Taxes and Billing Information

If prices are displayed on the VAOS website, they are provided for information purposes and may be subject to change.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

• prices are shown in EUR;
• prices are exclusive of applicable VAT/IVA and taxes;
• billing terms are governed by the Terms of Service and the selected subscription plan;
• invoices will be issued according to applicable Spanish tax and accounting requirements.

If VAT/IVA treatment differs because of the customer’s location, tax status or reverse-charge rules, the applicable treatment will be determined at checkout or invoicing stage.

8. Links to Third-Party Websites

The VAOS website and application may contain links to third-party websites, platforms or resources.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, terms, security or privacy practices of third-party websites or services. Accessing third-party websites is at the user’s own responsibility.

9. Website Availability

We aim to keep the VAOS website and application available and secure. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or permanent access.

We may suspend, modify or discontinue parts of the website or application for maintenance, security, operational or legal reasons.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Legal Center and the use of the VAOS website are governed by the laws of Spain.

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, any dispute arising from or relating to the VAOS website, the VAOS services or these legal documents shall be submitted to the competent courts of Alicante, Spain.
